Verbier Resort Information
The resort Verbier has some of the best groomed pistes in the Alps and some epic itinerary ski runs complemented with great Après-ski. It is no surprise that is so popular, with loyal clients returning year after year.
Situated in a south facing bowl, Verbier sits at 1550 meters and is one of the sunniest places in Switzerland. This, coupled with some of the highest ski lifts, and a great snow record ensures some of the best skiing conditions to be found in the Alps.
Famous for its challenging ungroomed itinerary runs, Verbier also has a dedicated beginner area at the foot of the mountain and there are plenty of gentle blue runs for intermediate skiers. For advanced to expert skiers there are plenty of bumps and off-piste, as well as long sweeping red runs all the way from Attelas at 2733m down to Medran at 1500m.
Take a trip to Savoleyres on the bus, and you find that the area is quieter, runs more consistent and open, and it has a bit more of a small-town feel. Coupled with its quaint restaurants, it is an ideal are for families and those a little more timid.
Verbier is part of the extensive 4 Vallées ski area which links the ski areas of Thyon, Nendaz, La Tzoumaz and Veysonnaz. So, there is plenty of skiing to discover. Verbier is approximately 1.45 drive hours from Geneva airport.
